Google Releases Product Review Algorithm on 1 December 2021
Back In April 2021, we released a Product Review Update to encourage quality product reviews. We’re now rolling out a new update, the first major update since April, that may change the ranking of your product reviews in search results. In particular, if you’ve made positive changes to your content, you may see that improvement reflected as part of this latest release. occur at any time for various reasons.
Over time, we’ve received more feedback from users about what type of review content is considered trustworthy and helpful, which motivates us to provide additional product review guidance. Users have told us that they trust reviews with product credentials. They are tested and prefer more options to buy the product.
As such, we are introducing two new product rating best practices that will take effect in a future update.
* Provide evidence such as images, audio, or other links from your own experience with the product to support your experience and validate the authenticity of your review.
*Include links to multiple vendors to give the reader the ability to shop from the vendor of their choice.
