Google Search Console Logging Bug May Result In Drop In Image Search Performance Data

Google has confirmed a difficulty with the Google Search Console Performance reports specific to image search. the difficulty could be a work issue which will end in your clicks and impressions knowledge in those reports being less than normal. Google aforesaid the issue began on Monday, January 24, 2022 and remains ongoing.

It is not clear whether Google will be able to fill in the data or not. It is also unclear when the matter will be considered.

We know this is a reporting issue only and is not specific to changes to your image rankings in Google Images or web search.

Here’s what Google posted “Image search data is affected by a recording issue that may cause fewer clicks and impressions for images on your site in the performance report.  We’re working to fix this issue. This issue is a registration issue only, it does not reflect a decline in user behaviour or Google search results.
